Where Adam’s and Israel’s Leadership Failed, King Jesus Succeeded!
Unfortunately, many Christians spend all their time in the New Testament not recognizing that the Old Testament builds and finds fulfillment in the New Testament.  Chris preaches on how the scriptures proclaim King Jesus as being the successful "Second Adam" as well as fulfilling faithful Israel.  The more we study God's Word, the more we see the harmony of the scriptures and better understand Jesus' powerful words in Matthew 5:17 (ESV) “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

The Kingdom Could Only Be Restored by the Savior
In this first sermon in the series on the Kingdom of God, Chris preaches on the reality that humanity ruined God's perfect creation.  From the point of the fall to Jesus' death and resurrection, the scriptures pointed to a deliverer, a messiah, a king who would restore the Kingdom.  Though the final restoration waits for Jesus' return, our deliverance, our salvation is found in none other than Christ.

What Does it Mean to be Truly Blessed?
In God's word, it is clear that Mary was exceedingly blessed as the one chosen to mother the Son of God.  Yet we have to be careful not to elevate her honor beyond what God calls for.  In fact, in Luke 11:27-28 (NKJV) We find this: 27  And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!"  28  But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!" So, Jesus indicates the larger blessing is from both hearing and following God's word.  Chris preaches on Luke 1:39-45 and what it means to be truly blessed.

    Nothing is Impossible with God
Do you realize that obedience to God's call in your life is often challenging?  In Mary's life, she'd been given the message that she would be the only virgin to conceive a child while still remaining a virgin.  Chris preaches on how this created a massive problem in her culture, yet she was still obedient to God's will.  When considering our own walk with God, do we recognize that He also wants to use our lives as miraculous examples to the rest of the world?
